Created by Juliana Luna, ALUNA is an African-centered framework for self-awareness. ALUNA is the result of 10+ years of Luna's journey on self-development and study of Lunar time. If they told us we're roughly 70% water, why the Moon wouldn't have any effect on our bodies?
Through a Yoruba Lunar mapping system, we learn how to live in sync with our truth. ALUNA is a practice of coming home to our own ancestral wisdom. ALUNA is homecoming.
Following the photographs created by Juliana Luna and Thais Aquino in the island of Maui, I conceived a rebranding based on the concept of home. The starting point of the project was Luna's connection and love for Adire ancestral art, a Nigerian textile practice. Where rich symbolism translates deep connection to one’s ancestral identities and forms of belonging to the earth.

From this study, the new logo, patterns and symbols were born — a graphic system to dialogue with the pictures and keep the brand's presence on & offline. Content strategy for social media was developed along with a new voice and tone for this rebranding.
